Talent ID

The Dragon Talent ID Programme identifies players within Dragon Academy who show outstanding potential, attitude, and commitment.

Selected players will be invited to exclusive Talent ID events, advanced development sessions, and opportunities to attend professional or semi-professional trials through our external partners.

This programme is designed to recognise players ready for the next stage of their development.

Selections take place throughout the year.

Current Talent ID Players

How it works

1️⃣ Talent Identification

Players are continually assessed during Dragon Academy training sessions. Coaches identify players who demonstrate strong ability, attitude, and commitment.

2️⃣ Invitation to Talent ID

Players who consistently stand out may receive an official invitation to join the Dragon Academy Talent ID Programme.

Selections take place approximately every 8 weeks, ensuring all players have regular opportunities to be considered.

Being invited recognises strong progress and potential within the academy.

3️⃣ Talent ID Phase 1 Trial

Selected players take part in a structured in-house Talent ID trial, delivered in a professional training and assessment environment.

This trial will be:

• Professionally recorded using our XbotGO Falcon camera
• Used to produce individual highlights footage for each player
• Supported by performance observation and tracking
• Shared with our network of scouts, trial platforms, and partner clubs

All selected players receive their footage and feedback, regardless of progression.

4️⃣ Progression or Continued Development

From each Talent ID group, a minimum of one player will progress to Phase 2, where they may be:

• Put forward to attend external trials
• Presented directly to scouts from professional or semi-professional clubs
• Considered for further development opportunities

Players who do not progress will continue training within Dragon Academy and remain eligible for future Talent ID selections.

Development never stops.

What Selected Players Receive

Players selected for the Dragon Academy Talent ID Programme will receive access to a structured development and identification process designed to give them genuine opportunities to progress.

Each selected player will take part in a two-phase Talent ID process, beginning with a professionally delivered in-house trial environment.

Players selected for the programme will receive:

• Participation in an official Talent ID Phase 1 trial, delivered in a professional training and assessment environment
• Full match and training footage recorded using our XbotGO Falcon performance camera
• Individual highlight clips and performance footage from the trial
• Performance insights captured through tracking and observation during the session
• Their footage and profile shared with our network of scouts, trial platforms, and partner clubs
• Ongoing feedback from the Dragon Academy coaching team
• Continued development opportunities within Dragon Academy

Importantly — every player selected for the Talent ID Programme will receive their footage and performance data, regardless of whether they progress to Phase 2.

From each Talent ID group, a minimum of one player will be selected to progress to Phase 2, where they will be put forward to attend external trials or be presented directly to scouts from professional or semi-professional clubs.

Players who are not selected to progress will remain eligible for future Talent ID cycles, which take place approximately every 8 weeks.

About the Dragon Talent ID Programme

The Dragon Talent ID Programme has been created to recognise and support players within Dragon Academy who demonstrate exceptional commitment, ability, and potential.

While Dragon Academy focuses on developing all players, the Talent ID pathway allows selected players to access additional opportunities designed to challenge and progress them further.

Through Talent ID events, advanced environments, and external trial opportunities, our aim is to give players the chance to test themselves at the next level of the game.

Selection into the programme is based on consistent performance, attitude, and development during training sessions, ensuring that opportunities are earned through hard work and dedication.

Players remain part of Dragon Academy while working towards future opportunities through the Talent ID pathway.
